I spent the majority of the past 15 days working on the upcoming tutorial for 202X Mode. I’ve uploaded a short video preview of it to my Patreon page, if you’re curious to get an early look at it.
15 tutorials are planned, and so far, 12 of them are completed. I’ve created a Trello page where you can see a checklist of what has been done and what remains to be done on the tutorial:

However, I wouldn’t recommend compulsively refreshing the page every few seconds to check for updates. Over the next few days, I won’t be working on the tutorial; I’ll be working on some videos that I plan to release before the end of the month.
The tutorial is going to involve a short cutscene and some voice acting. The tutorial won’t be “complete” without that cutscene and voice work, so even if I finish all of my work on the tutorial, I won’t release it until I have received and implemented the required animations and voice acting.
The animations I require are already in development, and are turning out great. I haven’t requested the voice acting yet, because I’m still finalizing the script, but it will be requested soon.
Since it’s tradition to release a new build on the 1st and 15th days of every month, I’m releasing a build today. However, it doesn’t have very many significant changes over the previous build; unlike some of the builds I’ve released earlier this year – which had over 100 changes and fixes combined – this build has a meager 10 changes and 12 fixes. Still, it’s tradition to release a new build every 2 weeks, so here it is.

Changes and Improvements
- The floor texture in the gym is now higher-resolution. Since it’s the largest mesh in the game, it needs a high-res texture, or else it’ll look very obviously blurry and low-quality. It was worth updating this texture, since the gym is featured prominently in the game’s tutorial, and as the first environment that new players will see when they play the game, I want it to leave a good impression on the player.
- The faceless girls who laugh at the protagonist during the low reputation game over are now using the hairstyle of Sumire Saitozaki, Ryoba’s first victim. Symbolism!
- The student portraits that recently received unique poses have reverted back to using the default pose.
- Ritsuko now has polished fingernails that match her official character artwork.
- The headmaster is no longer present at school during the 1980s Mode tutorial.
- Uekiya will now drop her shed keys after she is tranquilized.
- Replaced Sumire’s hair model. (The Sumire of 202X.)
- Kokona and Saki now have colored socks.
- Replaced Horuda’s hair model.
- Replaced Beshi’s hair model.
Fixes
- If the player took a photo of Senpai to unlock the “Speed Up Time” feature, and then advanced to the next day, the game would forget that the player had a photo of Senpai on subsequent days. This bug has been fixed.
- Fixed bug that would cause the protagonist to permanently freeze in place if she tried to take a shower while wearing a swimsuit while holding an object that was not an article of clothing.
- Fixed bug that would cause Raibaru to fail to enter her “arm breaking” animation if it was triggered shortly after Raibaru had become alarmed by something.
- After a student reported a dropped weapon to a teacher, that student would fail to revert back to their normal walk animation. This bug has been fixed.
- Fixed incorrect notification when the player tried to enter the counselor’s office during circ*mstances where entering her office shouldn’t be allowed.
- Fixed bug that would prevent students from perceiving a weapon as “misplaced” even though it was significantly far away from where it belonged.
- Fixed bug that prevented the player from losing reputation points after annoying a student by giggling repeatedly in their presence.
- Fixed bug that prevented Raibaru from going home as intended after she changed her shoes, if she had been selected for bullying.
- It is no longer possible for blood pools to spawn floating in the air above the stairway that leads up to the school pool.
- Adjusted the hitbox of the scythe so that it shouldn’t appear to clip or float in as much as it did before.
- Fixed bug that caused Raibaru to sit in midair nearby her desk if she had been selected for bullying.
- Fixed bug that was causing Ayano to use the incorrect running animation in the street scene.
Awesome! I’m so excited for the tutorial, and the trello seems to be full of interesting features…

Different poses makes the characters have so much more personality. I hope Yan Dev will change them back.

While the poses did add some fun and personality, they look too informal and usual for an Asian school like akademi

YandereDev, I have a suggestion…what if you add back to “greetings” in yandere simulator…as in 1980s mode and maybe as the leader of the occult club? I would be excited to see her back like old times, and I know she can come back through “spider demon” (I don’t know her name) but I would like her to come back as a 1980s mode character

Her name would be Sora Akuma or Sorakara Akuma. Sora meaning empty. Kara meaning husk and Akuma meaning demon.

bullies cant bully osana because they are afraid of raibaru but they can bully raibaru directly, i didnt get how that works, not logical. that shows they arent scared from her at all
i know we have so few ways to eliminate raibaru
i rlly understand she is op and we need ways like that, no problem, but
still, if they dont see a problem to bully raibaru herself, then bullying her friend wont be any differenti have an answer about “my friend mentality” too, its not making sense
a real coward wouldnt even risk it!!! they cant know if she has a “they can hit me but cant hit my friend” mentality, and they wouldnt even risk it, they could think they ll get beaten, so why bully raibaru herself if u afraid? bullies arent afraid then.i know u can say “raibaru can handle bullying” but that still shows bullies isnt scared from raibaru, you wouldnt hit ironman’s head even if u know he can handle bullying, he still can beat you. that shows u arent scared. and it wont fit that bullies. we know their personality.
and i still think raibaru would want, and would beat them. she is not a saint, if someone hits ur head, ur gonna get angry too. she wouldnt stop and beat them. that doesnt makes any sense, she doesnt protect herself. she is just a teenager and can get angry easily, can beat them easily, she is not an emotional control/wellness master or a saint.
and bullying bothers raibaru too, she looks unhappy, everyone would get angry and beat them, lets be honest, no one would hold up themselves if they are strong in that situation. would you do that? no.my solution: they could use a tactic to make everyone hate her instead of bullying a martial arts master directly

inkyu basu likes gossip, just like four bullies. you said they wont make ur rep fall because they like gossip, then why inkyu making ur rep down when u gossip? that doesnt make sense.
u can say “her stats, personality doesnt effects that, ur rep falls if u gossip” but thats not true, then why kokoro’s stats and personality effects them, and she makes ur rep fall?
that shows it changes by her personality, then according to inkyu’s personality, she wouldnt look bad to you if u gossip, and u wont lose rep for it.
also we need more ppl likes gossip, cuz there are a lot of ppl likes gossip in real life schools lol.anyways inkyu’s stats and her acts doesnt fit. she shouldnt make ur rep fall for gossiping.

When gossiping with someone who likes gossip but isn’t a bully, you will lose less rep points than gossiping with someone who doesn’t like gossip. The gossip function works fine.

In the canon timeline, Ayano completed the tutorial.
However, you won’t need to do the tutorial to get the true ending.

If the player completed the tutorial and killed Kokona, does Kokona disappear from the main game or is she still there?
In the curious case of Kokona Haruka, it is seen that Kokona asks Ayano for help for a “play” so it would practically not be killing her for real… if not rather… how did he act?

Hey, so I wanted to report something, not sure if it’s supposed to happen or not but I’ll say it anyway. When I murdered someone, I cleaned up all the evidence except for the dead body. Then, I joined the art club and covered my self in Red Paint, though when the police came and investigated they saw me in “blood” and confirmed it wasn’t mine and I got arrested. This just doesn’t really make sense to me but If u can, please say something about this because I am very and very confused about how this logic works. Love the game though!

Say, yandere dev. I been wondering, in the future will there will be students coming in the school around different time like one student comes in 7:07 another coming in 8:00 and another 7:30, and not all in the same time? Also when I played the game is raiburu supposed to walk behind osana and she just stand on her phone watch osana put her shoes up or will raiburu put her shoes up too?

Most likely not. Everyone will arrive at school at the same time so that I can immediately begin strategically placing them around school as living security cameras.

there is a glitch that only occurs when you use a custom uniform it doesnt seem to happen when i use custom swimsuit nor custom gym
when i walk through the doors leading outsideof the school beside the occult and cooking club and the school entrance the custom uniform texture that yandere chan is currently wearing that has pink socks once i walk through the doors (entrance the doors leading outside) the uniform texture turns into yandere chans original uniform (the pink socks turning into yandere chansblack thigh highs) for a split secondi dont think its a bug more like a glitch instead

I don’t know if you’ve thought of this or if you’ve mentioned this in one of your videos, but there’s an idea my friend and I thought of that I’d like to share; it’d be super awesome if you implement this idea as it adds more life to the game! This idea involves the 2 most indestructible characters in YanSim: Genka Kunahito (the guidance counselor) and Kocho Shuyona (the headmaster). We were wondering if they were ever going to be killable, so we started brainstorming ideas of how or when they’ll be killable if they do become active characters in the game.The idea we thought of is:
During class hours, Genka will monitor the halls. I feel like that’s befitting for her role since it’s to ensure there’s no student misbehaving. We originally thought she’ll have to monitor the whole campus; however, in real life, I feel like that’s too inconvenient..? in case a teacher and/or a student needs her presence. Of course, her mechanism to the player’s attempt to attack her will be the same as the teachers’ if you have 0 or not enough stats. You’ll need high enough stats in Physical Education and a distraction to lower her guard (playing the radio, for example).Normally, she’s not a threat because you can just time her arrival at a certain spot or just go the other way. But as more people get killed or disappear, her guard and her senses will increase. This would make it hard for players to kill a rival as the school becomes more lively with students. You’ll either have to be very stealthy with your kill or you’ll have to eliminate the witness (this one might not be necessary if the witness is a coward). But again, if there are 3 or 4 students (minimum) who disappeared or died, she’ll be more active in monitoring the halls. And with higher senses, she’ll hear your footsteps, the sound of being hit, etc., and she will immediately go to investigate. Of course, it should only work at a reasonable distance.
As for the increase in security maybe also put bodyguards patrolling the campus during class hours? They’ll be basically the stand-in for the student council members. 5 bodyguards are enough (2 for around the campus; 1 for each side).
And as for Kocho, he’s quite jumpy..? around Ayano. He’s obviously scared of what Ayano can do considering what happened back in the ’80s with Ryoba, so I can’t imagine him being brave enough to monitor either the halls or around the campus along with Genka. If there are deaths or mysterious disappearances, he’ll lock himself in his office. Like, Ayano wouldn’t be able to just come and go. His ventilation should be protected too considering how cautious he is.
So, what do you think, YanDev? I don’t expect you to implement them right away. I’m just hoping it would be in the official release?
